Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured. I also recommend that couples consider taking out wedding insurance—it's a great way to safeguard your plans and give you extra peace of mind throughout your planning process.
What is your photography style?
My style is natural, classic, and timeless. I aim to create romantic images that you’ll still love in years to come—true-to-life photographs with a light and airy aesthetic, complemented by a thoughtful mix of elegant black-and-white images.
What camera and equipment do you use?
I use three professional Nikon camera bodies and a range of high-quality lenses to suit different lighting conditions and settings throughout the day.
Do you edit images?
Yes. Every image is individually edited using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I apply a light touch—enhancing colours, removing small blemishes and ensuring each image looks polished but still natural.
If you require more advanced retouching (such as trickier object removal or extensive airbrushing), this can be arranged for an additional fee, as it’s a more time-consuming process and may require outsourcing to a professional retoucher. I suggest selecting a few key images for this level of editing—perfect for wall art or album features.
Do you or can you bring along a second photographer?
Definitely. A second photographer helps ensure no moment is missed and allows us to capture multiple perspectives of your day. One of my full-day packages includes a second photographer, but you can also add one to any of my other packages.
I usually work with Rachael, who knows my style well, but I also have a few other photographers I can call on if she’s unavailable. A second photographer is £400 for full-day coverage or £200 for two hours of morning prep.
How far do you travel for a wedding?
I will travel all over Scotland and the UK. 100 miles round trip is included in my fee. Further afield and overnight stays will incur an extra charge
How do I book?
Booking is easy. Simply click the ‘Contact’ button to fill out the enquiry form. I’ll get back to you to confirm availability and have a quick chat about your plans. From there, I’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire, and once we’re all set, I’ll request a £200 non-refundable booking fee to secure your date along with your signed contract.
After booking, I’ll keep in regular contact and offer a Zoom call to go over your plans in more detail. It’s important to me that you feel confident and relaxed about the photography, so we’ll work together to make sure everything is aligned.
What if I need to cancel?
Life is unpredictable, and I understand that plans may change. This is why I gently encourage all couples to obtain wedding insurance.
If a postponement becomes necessary, I’ll always try to move your date—up to two times—without issue, provided I’m available. A third date change will require a new contract and booking fee, as your original booking retainer is non-refundable.
Do you capture morning preparations?
Absolutely! It’s actually my favourite part of any wedding day. My full day packages include morning preparations and if a second photographer is added on, both your morning preparations can be captured.
How long will you stay on the day?
A typical wedding day for me spans around 8 hours—from morning preparations to the first few dances in the evening. I gently step away during your meal to recharge and return refreshed for the celebration to come.
Should additional elements—such as singing waiters—fall during my break, a £100 fee is added to account for extended continuous coverage.
What type of photography can we expect?
Everything that tells your story. From the quiet intimacy of getting ready, to your walk down the aisle, the joy of confetti, tender couple’s portraits, heartfelt speeches, your first dance—and the glances, laughter, and love that fill the in-between.
My aim is to deliver a rich, documentary-style gallery: a collection of images that reflect your day in its truest, most romantic light.
How many images can I expect to receive?
I focus on quality over quantity. You’ll receive a curated selection of the very best moments from your day—typically around 40–50 images per hour. For an 8 hour wedding, that’s approximately 400–500 final images. If a second photographer is involved, the number may be higher.
How long will I wait for my photos?
I aim to have your wedding fully edited and on your own online gallery in around 8-10 weeks from the date you approve your wedding previews; this is normally a lot quicker outwith peak wedding season (which is November to February).
How will I receive my images?
Your gallery will be delivered to you via a beautiful, private online collection—accessible anytime from the comfort of your home. The gallery is available for one year and all images can be downloaded in high resolution for easy sharing with family and friends.
(Prepare tissues—these are happy tears in the making.)
I always suggest backing up your gallery to both Cloud storage and a physical device like a hard drive or USB.
Do you offer prints and albums?
Yes, absolutely. There is something undeniably magical about holding your photographs in your hands.
I offer photographic prints, handcrafted albums and exquisite display options through a professional lab for superior quality. Wedding albums start at £525, downsized replica albums (to be ordered at the same time) start at £100 and smaller storybook albums start from £275. You’ll also find options for framed prints, mounted images, and keepsake print boxes.
